  • 1 ½ cup rolled oats, quinoa flakes or rice flakes 
  • 1 cup miscellaneous seeds, nuts, coconut, pantry goods (see note)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 1 granny smith apple, grated 
  • 1 tablespoon honey 
  • 2 cups your choice of milk, plus more for serving  
  • ½ cup Farmer Jo Honey Granola 
  • Honey, to serve 


  1. Add all ingredients besides the Farmer Jo Honey Granola and the yoghurt to a large container. Mix well to combine. Then cover and place into the fridge overnight to soak (or for at least 1 hour). 
  2. Divide between two bowls, pour over some additional milk and serve with the Farmer Jo Honey Granola and a drizzle of honey. 

Notes / Tips:

For this recipe, use any nuts, seeds or coconut found in the back of your pantry. We’re talking almonds, macadamias, sunflower seeds, flaxseeds, chia seeds, shredded coconut. Whatever is collecting dust - use it up!  

You can also use a pinch of nutmeg, cardamom or all spice in this bircher if you have some in your pantry read to use up.
