Long-time Farmer Jo fans might remember that we used to make (and sell!) delicious porridge blends before Granola became our one and only true love! Around this time of year, we get inundated with requests to bring back porridge, but we've decided to go one better…
Our founder Sal (aka our Chief Of Flavour Town!) has lovingly shared the ACTUAL product recipe from our OG Farmer Jo Maple Coconut & Chia Oats bags, so you can make it at home till your heart's content. It's creamy, delicious, loaded with all the good stuff and pimped to the nines.

 This porridge is a simple recipe that smells delicious and is lovely to make when the mornings get cooler.

Make a batch or two and store in your pantry!


  • 410g wholegrain rolled oats
  • 40g coconut chips
  • 40g coconut desiccated
  • 45g maple syrup
  • 10g chia seeds
  • pinch sea salt


  1. Preheat the oven to 140 degrees.
  2. Combine the maple syrup & salt in a saucepan over medium heat, stir until salt is dissolved, set aside.
  3. Place the coconut & chia seeds in
  4. Pour over maple syrup & mix well to evenly coat.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove & gently turn then bake for a further 10 minutes or until golden toasty brown.
  6. Let cool then combine with oats. Store in an airtight jar
